Australian Masters Championships 22nd-25th May 2019

Two Endeavour members travelled to Perth for the National Masters Championships and both came home with a swag full of medals!

Allen (Al) Atkins backed up his 3 state championships with 2 Australian gold medals. Racing in a composite crew with rowers from Victoria, the ACT and North Shore Rowing Club, Al took first place in both the Mens Masters J-M Quad Sculls and Mens Masters J-M Coxless Four. All crews in both events were from the J category aged between 80 and 83.

After 2 gold and a bronze at the NSW Masters, Sean Donza went one better with 2 gold, a silver and a bronze at the Nationals. He backed this up with a first and a third in divisions of mixed events. Sean rowed in different combinations made up from members of his state representative crew and their coach and with Rowan Hislop of NUBC (Newcastle University Boating Club) in the B Four.

In the Interstate Quad race, NSW just missed out on a medal with fourth place.
